With over 25 years of teaching experience, Larissa is dedicated to helping yoga teachers deepen their skills with grounded wisdom and compassionate support. A NAMA-Certified Ayurvedic Practitioner, Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist, End-of-Life Doula, and Yoga Alliance-Certified Advanced Yoga Teacher, Larissa brings a wealth of holistic knowledge to the art of teaching restorative yoga. Known for her calm presence and insightful teaching, Larissa has been incorporating restorative yoga into her teaching and personal practice for two decades. She blends mindfulness principles with restorative yoga to create deeply nurturing experiences that support nervous system regulation, emotional balance, and long-term vitality. Whether she's guiding students through gentle, fully-supported postures or training teachers to hold space for deep rest, Larissa emphasizes safety, accessibility, and ease. Her teaching style is thoughtful, practical, and reverent—rooted in years of study and rich personal experience. Larissa is passionate about equipping yoga teachers with the tools to help students recover from burnout, manage stress, and feel supported during times of caregiving, loss, or healing. Restorative YTT FAQ's
Will this livestream YTT be recorded?
Yes! You are strongly encouraged to attend live, but the entire training will be recorded in case you can't join live. Once you complete the audio course and videos, you'll receive 18 Yoga Alliance CEUs. (*The recordings will be available through August 31, 2025)
Do I need prior knowledge of restorative yoga or mindfulness?
No prior experience is necessary. YTT sessions are designed to introduce and deepen your understanding of restorative practices. The required "Mindfulness for Caregivers" 2.5-hour audio course provides insight into the challenges of those facing stressful, demanding life stages, as well as evidence-based mindfulness tools to support them in restorative yoga experiences.
What props will I need?
Recommended props include 2 bolsters, 2 blankets, 2 blocks, 1 strap, 1 eye pillow, 1 cushion, and 1 chair. A detailed props list will be provided in the July 14th Fundamentals Class, as well as in the YTT Ebook.
